Be skeptical of SPF rating claims made by pet sunscreens
The FDA does not test sunscreens for pets. Many companies use chemicals made for humans to give their product an SPF rating. Use of these chemicals can be dangerous to your dog. Just ask your veterinarian

The canine sunscreen works pretty well on our Sadie Girl’s nose. Even if she gets a little pink, by morning she’s fine. Kind of hard to keep her from licking it off though. But it really does help. Thank you!
My pup has a nose that peels every summer and this was the only place I could find that had pet safe sunscreen for him. I appreciate this so much!
Great sunscreen for your dog! I apply it to my dogs nose because he loves to bask in the sun. It protects his nose from dryness and burn. All natural and safe!
Our dogs run in and out all day in Florida. It works well on our yellow lab/ pit-no pink nose at the end of the day. Our baby white pit with very pink, ears, feet, eye areas (we don't apply there), back legs and behind; we are trying to apply more often and in more areas. He sits well for it and tries to lick it off his nose (thus grateful for safe ingredients). It helps lessen the sun's effects so far and should do better if we do better at repeating application.
